Peter Yan spoke in support of Sean Strickland

Former UFC lightweight titleholder Peter Yan commented on the statement made by current UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland, who at a press conference in Canada called a reporter who asked him a provocative question about sexual minorities and transgender people a public enemy.

“Hammer!” the Russian fighter wrote on social media, posting a video of the American’s performance.

Already this weekend, Sean Strickland will headline UFC 297 in Toronto, putting his title on the line against South African Dricus Du Plessis.

As for Peter Yan, he is currently continuing his preparations for his fight against China’s Song Yadong, with whom he will share the octagon on March 9 at UFC 299 in Miami. The Russian is riding a three-fight losing streak and is ranked fifth in the organization’s lightweight division rankings.
