Cuban veteran Yordenis Ugas (27-5, 12 KOs) retired Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao in August 2021, and then gave a fight in unification to American welterweight leader Errol Spence – he lost by late ahead of schedule.
The veteran plans to resume performances and is categorically against intermediate fights – he wants to fight exclusively with the “division elite”.
The Cuban announced the names of the desired opponents – they are all from the United States – this is the former unified world champion, former division leader Keith Thurman (30-1, 22 KOs), as well as knockout prospects Virgil Ortiz (19-0, 19 KOs) and Jaron Ennis (29-0, 27 KOs).
According to Ugas, “God willing, I’ll be back in the ring early next year.” The Cuban is on the list of fighters we mentioned in the article Joshua, Wilder, Ortiz and the top fighters who need a big comeback win. And one of Yordenis’ potential rivals volunteered to replace Crawford or Spence if necessary.
