Outfighter and spectacular slugger who defeated Yard won by knockouts

Bolton Whites Hotel, Bolton, England. In the main event of the show, local light heavyweight (up to 79.4 kg) Lyndon Arthur (20-1, 14 KOs) knocked out Walter Sequeira (25-10-1, 17 KOs) from Argentina.

Outfighter Arthur habitually controlled the course of the fight with a jab, disturbed Sequeira’s defense with uppercuts and overhands. During the fight, the underdog visited the canvas three times.

Artur twice met with a compatriot contender for the title Anthony Yardom – At first he outboxed, but in rematch he lost ahead of schedule.


In the super middleweight limit (up to 76.2 kg), local prospect slugger Troy Williamson (19-0-1, 14 KOs) beat the Argentinean journiman in an intermediate fight
David Benitez (8-8, 2 KOs).

After the fight, it was officially announced that in December he had a tough fight against a compatriot Josh Kelly!


In the same evening
Gavin Gwynn (15-2-1, 3 KOs) from Wales defended the British and British Commonwealth lightweight titles (up to 61.2 kg) in a confrontation with his fellow countryman
Craig Woodruff (12-6-1, 4 KOs).

The fight went the whole distance, turned out to be competitive and very bright. The judges did not determine the winner: twice 114-114 and 116-113 in favor of the champion.
