Olympic “Tiger” Johnson severely beat Gigliotti. It was fun: video

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Tulsa, state Oklahoma, USA. The quarter-finalist of the Olympic Games-2020, a very cool American super-lightweight prospect (up to 63.5 kg) Delante Johnson (5-0, 4 KOs), prematurely beat his compatriot
Garry Gigliotti (8-4, 3 KOs). He had never lost before.

The underdog fought in the usual sharp-attacking style, which was very beneficial for the Olympian: he failed beautifully, countered hard, combined. Favorite looked great.

In some places, Gigliotti tried to work as the second number, but everything turned out the same (or even worse) – he could not keep up with the fast techie. The gatekeeper got more and more: a broken nose, a cut on his left cheek, very unpleasant blows to the body.

“Oooo that hurt me.”

He steadfastly endured everything, and if it was completely unbearable, he cycled or clinched.

Gigliotti amused me with a funny episode. When the referee at the break after the 4th round demanded that he “show at least something in the ring,” the underdog replied: “Dude, what are you doing? I have such a style!

The third in the ring still could not stand it and stopped the fight in the 5th round. Formally, it was a one-wicket fight, so he had the right. The loser and the fans were very unhappy. They can be understood too.
