Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury: bookmakers have named the favorite

After defeating Anthony Joshua in a rematch, Ukrainian WBA, IBF and WBO world champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) frankly stated that now he is only interested in one fight – for the absolute championship against the WBC title holder Briton Tyson Fury ( 32-0-1, 23 KOs). And he will fight either with him, or with anyone at all.

Fury, despite the recent announcement of his retirement, of course, has not really gone anywhere. He promptly reacted to the last fight Usyk-Joshua 2, and after a while he said that he was “not used to taking away belts from homeless people from Ukraine.”

It is obvious that the sides of the boxers will soon begin negotiations on the fight. And if there are no force majeure, we will most likely see him in early 2023.

In the meantime, bookmakers have already named the favorite of such a fight.

According to experts, Fury has a much better chance of success, the odds for him are set from -280 to -310 (the amount you need to bet to get $100 net profit). Usyk is an outsider, the coefficient for him is around +215 (the amount of potential net profit that can be received from a bet of $100).

Usyk, however, has his own prediction for the duel with Tyson: “Fury will beat his ass, not me.”

Note that even before Alexander’s rematch with Joshua, Fury’s co-promoter Bob Arum gave out an insider: Fury will fight the winner of the Usyk-Joshua rematch.
