Oleksandr Usyk on the future of Anthony Joshua in boxing

Today it was officially announced that the return of British ex-world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) will take place on April 1 in London (England) in a duel against American Jermain Franklin (21-1, 14 KOs).

For Joshua, this will be the first appearance in the ring after two consecutive defeats on points from the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

In an interview
The Guardian current WBA, WBO and IBF titleholder Usyk gave Anthony and his fans hope for the future.

“Joshua should not be upset because he lost to me,” Alexander is sure. “He just needs to keep working because he is a very cool boxer and a good person. He will still have the opportunity to become world heavyweight champion again.”

Usyk also recorded an appeal to the head of the IOC about the Russians.
