Ukrainian WBA/WBO/IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) is going to eliminate all the mistakes he made in the first fight against Briton Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) in order to hold the upcoming rematch even better.
Recall that in September last year, Usyk confidently outboxed Joshua on points in England. Their rematch is scheduled for August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).
“I watched the first fight against Joshua many times with my team, with my coach. Let’s see what mistakes I made and work on them to make sure I don’t make them again,” Usyk said.
At the same time, Alexander agrees that in the first fight the opponent did not surprise him and acted generally predictably:
“For me, yes (Joshua was predictable in the ring). When he boxing, he doesn’t think about what he should do. He just thinks about winning. Being in my corner, I only think about what the coach tells me. What should I do. What will be his next step? What will he do? And only after that I can do something on my part.
