UFC Fight Night 2 Tournament Match
The fight will take place on June 4 in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) at the UFC Apex complex and will be one of the main ones at the UFC Fight Night 207 tournament. The estimated start of the fight is 23:00 Kyiv time. The fight will be broadcast live on Setanta Sports.
In the flyweight division, Uzbek-born Zarrukh Adashev (4-3) will face off against Jamaican native Ode Osborne (10-4, 1 NC).
Adashev spent 6 of his 7 fights in MMA in top promotions – 3 in Bellator and 3 in the UFC. Uzbek in July last year closed a series of defeats to Tyson Nam and Su Mudaerji, defeating Ryan Benoit by unanimous decision.
Osbourne won two fights in the UFC and lost the same number. He spent his last fight in November at UFC 268, where he passed CJ Vergara with the unanimity of the judges.
Adashev showed himself well in the standing position, but the stalls are clearly his weak side. But Osborne fights excellently and has good striking skills, which, coupled with his long arms, can cause a lot of trouble for Adashev on his feet.
Adashev hits hard enough to shock and even knock out opponents, so Osborne is unlikely to decide to hack with him in the rack and rely on his wrestling and physical strength. We expect that Osborne will fence Adashev on the ground and eventually win a landslide victory on points or, possibly, by submission.
