US heavyweight prospect (over 90.7 kg) from Top Rank Promotions Jared Anderson (12-0, 12 KOs)
talked with popular sportswriter Max Kellerman on the air of the boxing show Max on Boxing.
The 22-year-old fighter spoke about his plans for the title fight and named the main future opponent in his professional career. According to Anderson, he is the Olympic champion from Uzbekistan, and now professional fighter Bakhodir Jalolov (11-0, 11 KOs).
— You are a professional since 2019. What are your plans for the title fight?
– The WBC recently published its ratings. And I entered the top 25 at number 24. So I see it in a year or two. I would definitely say in 2 years just because of the way things are going right now. People quit their careers and then come back. Once these guys decide what they’re going to do, have their last fights, then my name will go up in the rankings. And hopefully there will be fights so we can do it.
Tyson Fury brought you to camp as a sparring partner for his third fight against Deontay Wilder. What was it like? How did you spar against Tyson Fury while you were there?
“I’ll just say that I know I’m the best heavyweight in the world. You will all see, the fans will see, the whole world will see that I am the best heavyweight. That’s all there is to say. This is now a narrative. I am no longer a student, I am already a teacher.

Where Ali, there was Frazier, where Mayweather, there Pacquiao, Leonard and Hagler. If you are in one corner… When you look not at fighters who are 15 years older than you, but at your contemporaries, who will be the fighter you will fight one day?

Jared, what is the one thing you want the fans to know? What message do you want to convey to the fans?
– We already spoke. I am the best heavyweight in the world. That’s all you need to know. I come with charisma, I come with a smile, I make people laugh, I just come to have fun and you will all see it. It amuses me. That’s what makes me different from others. For them it’s a job, but for me it’s a thrill. You can’t beat someone when they’re having fun, when they’re enjoying it.
