Reigning UFC heavyweight champion Cameroonian Francis Ngannou considers middleweight champion Nigerian Israel Adesanya to be the best striker in MMA, not Cyril Gan.
“I will say that he is a great guy, the best striker in this game. By the way, I tried to invite him to this training camp, but due to travel restrictions in New Zealand, we could not arrange it. But he would love to come here and help me with punching, footwork and everything. If you look at Adesanya’s style, he does the same thing as Cyril Gun, but much better. And he was ready to come here and help me in my camp, but it didn’t work out,” Ngannou said in a video posted on his YouTube channel.
In the main event of the UFC 270 tournament, which will take place on the night of January 23 in Anaheim (USA), Ngannou will meet with former teammate Gan.
Ngannu has 16 victories and 3 defeats, Ghana has 10 victories in 10 fights.
