Ngannou wants to fight Fury under MMA rules, but with boxing gloves

Reigning UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury exchanged pleasantries on Twitter. It began with the fact that an undefeated boxer offered an MMA fighter to fight according to the rules of boxing, but in gloves for MMA.

“Who would like to see me fight this monster by the rules of boxing, but with UFC gloves?” Fury wrote.

“How about an MMA fight but with boxing gloves? I can render you such a service,” Ngannou replied.

Ngannou fought his last fight in March 2021. Then the 35-year-old Cameroonian defeated Stipe Miocic and became the new owner of the UFC heavyweight championship belt. At UFC 270, which will be held on the night of January 23 in Anaheim (USA), he will have his first title defense in a fight with former teammate Cyril Gan.

Fury fought Deontay Wilder for the third time last October. Having been knocked down twice, Tyson knocked out his opponent in the 11th round.
