Nate Diaz plans to fight for the UFC title

Former UFC lightweight title contender Nate Diaz, who faces blogger Jake Paul in August, plans to return to the strongest league in the world and fight for the championship belt again.

“The UFC is one option,” Diaz said at a press conference in Dallas. “I would like to return. In the end, I would like to come back and fight for the championship belt. If not, I’ll create my own championship belt and get the best to come to me. I would like to return to the UFC, or fight title holders in boxing is also one of the possibilities.”

“At the moment, the UFC has the best fighters in the world, and it has been that way for many years. I try to fight the best because I am the best fighter that has ever fought in the UFC. And I have a great relationship with Dana White – we always got along with him.”

A professional boxing match between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul will take place on August 5 in Dallas. According to the regulations, the fight will take place within the weight category up to 84 kilograms (185 pounds) and will be designed for eight rounds.

Nate Diaz, 38, made his last fight last September at UFC 279 in Las Vegas, finishing with a fourth-round guillotine choke to Tony Ferguson before leaving the organization as a free agent.
