Nassurdin Imavov dropped out of the fight against Ikram Aliskerov

Brazilian fighter Worley Alves has agreed on short notice to replace the eliminated Nassurdin Imavov and face Russian middleweight Ikram Aliskerov on Oct. 21 at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi.

The replacement was reported by sources close to the situation. There is no information yet on why Imavov withdrew from the fight.

In May of this year, 30-year-old Ikram Aliskerov successfully debuted in the UFC, knocking out American Phil Howe in the first round and recording his fourteenth professional victory.

UFC welterweight Warley Alves, 32, suffered two straight losses, losing by knockout to Jeremiah Wells and a split decision to Nicholas Dalby. The Brazilian, who has been competing in the UFC since 2014, is the only fighter to finish Colby Covington by submission in 2015.
