“The USADA issue has been resolved,” the Irishman told ESPN. “By the end of the year I will be competing in the cage. I’m ready”
“The fight against Michael Chandler will be announced during The Ultimate Fighter season starting in a few days on ESPN. By the time the show is over, we will have a date and it will be communicated to the fans.”
Representatives of the US Anti-Doping Agency commented on McGregor’s statement.
“We have recently been in contact with Conor McGregor, and as he confirmed to the media today, we expect to receive a statement from him to resign from his retirement and be re-introduced to the USADA testing pool shortly,” the agency said in a statement. “Like other athletes coming out of retirement, McGregor will go through a six-month drug testing period and must provide at least two clean samples before he is allowed to compete.”
Thus, we are not talking about reducing the mandatory testing period, so that the coaching match between McGregor and Chandler will take place no earlier than December of this year.
