Named favorite in the battle of Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley

Reigning UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will be a big favorite in another title defense against second-seeded compatriot Sean O’Malley in the division.

Sterling’s odds are currently 1.417 (70.59% chance) to win, while O’Malley’s odds are 3.05 (32.79% chance).

Bookmakers have released the starting odds shortly after Aljamain Sterling made his third successful defense of his belt at UFC 288 in Newark, defeating Henry Cejudo in five rounds.

Sean O’Malley last fought in October last year, winning a split decision against former division champion Petr Yan.

According to UFC President Dana White, the fight between Sterling and O’Malley could take place on August 19 at UFC 292 in Boston.
