Named a new date for the fight between Anatoly Malykhin and Arzhan Bullar

A heavyweight unification bout between reigning ONE Championship champion Arzhan Bullar and interim title holder Anatoly Malykhin will take place on July 15 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

This was announced by the President of the Asian League Chatri Sityodtong.

“This fight will officially take place on July 15th,” the ONE Championship boss said in an interview with MMA Fighting. “The issue was resolved a couple of hours ago”

The title fight was supposed to headline the ONE on Prime Video 8 tournament in Singapore on March 24, however, the Canadian of Indian origin withdrew from the fight against the Russian, citing an injury.

Anatoly Malykhin, 35, won the interim ONE heavyweight title in February last year with a second-round knockout of Belarusian Kirill Grishchenko, and in December, the Russian finished by TKO in the first round of Dutchman Renier de Ridder to become the full-fledged ONE light heavyweight champion.

36-year-old Arzhan Bullar has not entered the cage since May 2021, when he finished off Brandon Vera ahead of schedule and took away the ONE heavyweight championship belt from the American.
