Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Briton Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) gave the go-ahead to fight for the WBC title with his compatriot Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs). If the parties manage to agree on the terms of the duel, then it will take place before the end of the year.
Fury was expected to fight all other division belt holder Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) of Ukraine, who beat Joshua twice in a row.
