Munguia knocks out Golovkin – boxing legend prediction

The undefeated ex-world champion in the first middleweight and the object of regular criticism for mediocre opposition, now performing in the middle category (up to 72.6 kg), Mexican Jaime Mungia (41-0, 33 KOs) will be able to defeat and even knock out the long-term dominator of the division , the current WBA Super title holder from Kazakhstan Gennady Golovkin (42-2-1, 37 KOs).

Such a prediction in an interview
Izquierdazo made by the legendary compatriot Munguia, as well as his coach Eric Morales.

“Jaime is a young fighter who is trying hard and I don’t see any reason why he can’t beat Golovkin. I even dare to say that he (Munguya) will knock him out,” said Eric. “Now their strength is already at different levels. Golovkin in his last fight looked weaker than usual, although he finished the fight better (than Canelo Alvarez). But he still looked tired. He is no longer the Golovkin he was 2-3 years ago. He is an outstanding athlete, a great fighter, but Jaime is pushing forward, he is only 26 years old, and he has a future ahead of him.

Notably, Golovkin’s former coach Abel Sanchez recently advised Munguia to stay away from Gennady.

Morales commented on his statement:

“Everyone has their own opinion. But I know Jaime well and I think that he has enough skills to compete with anyone, including Golovkin and Charlo. I understand Abel’s position. But I don’t see any reason why he could be right. It’s true that we haven’t had serious opposition in the last couple of years, but that doesn’t mean we can’t beat Golovkin. We work to fight the best. And Jaime is ready. He has everything to fight bone to bone with anyone you name me.

In the meantime, it became known that Golovkin was required to fight Lara, but this fight may not take place.
