Movsar Yevloyev named his UFC championship belt

No. 5 ranked UFC welterweight Movsar Yevloev has made it clear that he considers himself a prime candidate to fight the winner of the title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Elijah Topuria.

“I miss the moments in the octagon already! Back in the gym, looking forward to seeing the winner of the fight between Volkanovski and Topuria! The featherweight belt is mine!”,” the undefeated Russian fighter wrote on social media.

A week ago, Movsar Yevloyev picked up his eighth straight win for the organization with a three-round unanimous decision win over Britain’s Arnold Allen at UFC 297 in Toronto.

The Russian’s performance did not inspire the organization’s head, Dana White, who called the bout between top welterweights the most boring fight of the event.

Recall that the title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Elijah Topuria will be the main event of UFC 298, which will be held on February 17 in Anaheim.
