The updated rankings were published on the official website of the world’s strongest league.
Previously ranked fifth was UFC featherweight title belt challenger Elijah Topuria, who moved up to third place as a result. Allen, who lost to Evloyev by unanimous decision over three rounds, dropped from fourth to sixth.
With the victory, undefeated Movsar Yevloev said he wants to see the winner of the title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Elijah Topuria headline UFC 298 in Anaheim on Feb. 17 as his next opponent.
That being said, UFC head Dana White was not thrilled with the performance of the Russian, who has reeled off eight straight wins in the league, but has failed to finish any opponent early.
Another significant change in the rankings was the addition of South African middleweight Dricus Du Plessis, who defeated reigning champion Sean Strickland by split decision in the main event of the numbered Canadian event to move into the top 15 of the organization’s best fighters regardless of weight class and move into the eighth spot on the UFC’s P4P list.
