The mother of the fighter Khamitov detained in Kazakhstan told the details of her son’s detention
The mother of MMA fighter Kuat Khamitov Naiman told the details of the detention of her son by riot police after statements about what is happening in Kazakhstan.
“10 riot policemen and 2 civilians came in. My son was sitting on the couch, they tied his hands, put him on the floor and started beating him. The husband jumped out of another room and asked: “Why are you beating him?” You can take him away. They said that he was the instigator, without understanding anything, they took my son away. I still had my youngest son and my brother’s wife in the house. She left the toilet, she was turned into a corner of the toilet with machine guns and forbade her to look anywhere. So they took my son away. We didn’t understand anything, no explanation. They said he was the instigator. Although he was at home all these days,” Kuat Khamitova’s mother said on the video of the BASE YouTube channel.
Since the beginning of January, mass protests have been held in Kazakhstan. The state of emergency has been introduced in the country until January 19. Khamitov, 33, has openly expressed his position on what is happening in Kazakhstan.
In MMA, Khamitov won 24 victories, was defeated 6 times and two fights ended in a draw.
