Mokaev made fun of Lobov by challenging Royval to a fight

Coming off a less than convincing win over Alex Perez, UFC featherweight division number eight Muhammad Mokaev reacted to a statement from number one ranked Brandon Royval who suggested that the Brit lost the fight and doesn’t deserve a title shot.

“Either way, I’ll be ready for the UFC 301 tournament. Perez won 29-28,” Royval wrote on social media.

“Pantoja choked you out and you lost to him 45-50 in the second fight,” Mokaev responded. “The UFC is coming to Manchester in July – come fight me. I’m undefeated and your record is 16-8 and you’re going the way of Artem Lobov”

Earlier, reigning UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja said he wants to compete at UFC 301, which takes place May 4 in Rio de Janeiro, and would be ready to defend the title against Muhammad Mokaev if he defeats Alex Perez.

Recall that the fight between Mokaev and Perez, which took place at UFC Fight Night 238 in Las Vegas, went the full distance and ended with the victory of the 23-year-old British fighter by unanimous decision with a score of 29-28 three times.
