Mike Tyson named the current fighter with whom he would be “afraid to enter the ring”

The iconic Mike Tyson has named a very scary and greatly underestimated current boxer. According to the legend, “he himself would be afraid to go against this in the ring.” We are talking about interim WBC super middleweight champion American David Benavidez (26-0, 23 KOs).

“He is both very underrated and very negotiable,” Tyson said. – And not just negotiable – people still can’t agree on an opinion when they talk about him. But I would be afraid to go against him in the ring if I competed in this division. It seems that at this weight, no one has a chance to beat him. And I’m sticking with the facts.”

Benavidez will return to the ring next month to take on former world champion Caleb Plant. Despite the fact that David has never had such a level of opposition before, Tyson is confident in his victory: “Benavidez will beat Plant. He will kill everyone. I bet on him. And I will bet until he is beaten. And even after that, I will continue to support him.”

“Iron Mike” seems to be turning into a very sentimental guy. Obviously, Benavidez strongly reminds him of himself in childhood: “His approach to business, his attitude … After all, he was a small fat man in childhood. But he wanted to prove to the whole world that he was worth something. Believe me, all the greatest boxers in the world have been like that – insecure and insecure.”

Tyson was asked if Benavidez could beat reigning division leader Canelo Alvarez. The legend’s answer: “I believe that he will beat anyone against whom he enters the ring. So I don’t even need to name any other names or anything like that.”

And a little earlier, Mike Tyson named the strongest puncher in heavyweight history and the best current heavyweight in the world. He believes that “Usyk will lose to Fury. And it’s not about anthropometry.”
