Mike Tyson named Fury-Joshua favorite for potential fight

Boxing legend ex-absolute heavyweight champion American Mike Tyson shared his prediction for a potential fight between the two best representatives of Britain – WBC champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) and ex-owner of all other division titles Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KO).

Tyson decided not to play around: “Everyone knows that I like Joshua. But I think Tyson is too elusive for him. Anthony just won’t hit him. Once again I will repeat. I kinda like Joshua. I admit that he even hits more powerfully than Deontay Wilder. But his punches are definitely not faster than those of the Bomber. And if that’s the case, then he’s not going to fucking hit this dude. I see it that way. If Fury managed to avoid almost all of Wilder’s punches, then Joshua is in solid trouble.”

In order for the Fury vs Joshua fight to take place, the latter needs to get even with the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs), to take away the titles lost in September in London from him in revenge. The second fight will take place on August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).

The undercard fights for this show were announced yesterday. It’s funny that Joshua, on the eve of the fight with Usyk, understood why he was not respected in America. And he promises to give up all belts after the victory.
