Michael Page could be in the UFC

The appearance of Michael Page at UFC Fight Night 224 in London could mean that the former Bellator welterweight title contender, who has free agent status, will soon join the roster of the strongest league in the world.

This was announced at a press conference after the event by UFC Vice President Dave Shaw.

“Perhaps Michael Page will be signed,” Shaw stated. “I can’t confirm this, but I assume that it is, given the fact that he was present at the event. As far as I know, he is a free agent, but in any case, this question is better to ask Dana White – we discussed it the other day. We have a long list of guys who have come to the UFC from other organizations and have done very well. Look at Justin Gaethje, Michael Chandler and other guys. Of course, it would be interesting to add Michael Page to them.”

36-year-old Michael Page fought the last fight under his current contract with Bellator in March of this year, already in the 26th second, finishing with a technical knockout of the Japanese Goichi Yamauchi. Thus, the Briton closed the defeat from Logan Storley, whom he lost by a split decision in the duel for the interim Bellator championship belt. In 2019, MVP made an unsuccessful attempt to take the reigning title from Douglas Lima, losing to the Brazilian by knockout in the second round.
