Michael Page cleared the air on his signing situation in the UFC

Former Bellator welterweight title challenger Michael Page has revealed where he stands in his negotiations with the UFC, which began back in the summer of this year.

“I wish I could say with certainty that we’ve signed a contract, but we haven’t,” MMA News quoted the Brit as saying. “We still have a few hurdles to overcome. As I call it – we’re flirting.”

“A lot of the dream fights are in the UFC, and when I first came into MMA, my goal was the UFC because it was the biggest show. A lot of things have changed over time, but I hope I can get there and we’ll see my dream fights take place.”

Michael Page, 36, had his last fight under his current Bellator contract in March of this year, finishing Japan’s Goichi Yamauchi by technical knockout at 26 seconds. With this, the Briton closed the defeat of Logan Storley, to whom he lost by split decision in the fight for the interim Bellator championship belt. In 2019, MVP made an unsuccessful attempt to take away the current title from Douglas Lima, losing to the Brazilian by knockout in the second round.
