Michael Chandler named the timeline for his fight with Conor McGregor

The long-awaited fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler could take place at the UFC 300 Anniversary Tournament next March or April.

About it in the regular broadcast of the program “The Hour of MMA” said the American fighter.

“The fight is still on – it doesn’t have a date, a venue, but the fight between Chandler and McGregor is set,” Chandler said. “Conor can’t come back and not fight me. The only way Conor won’t fight me is if he doesn’t come back at all, but that’s out of my control.”

“Obviously, November and December are already scheduled for the main events and that moves our fight to 2024. The organization is gearing up for a historic event, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the fight takes place at UFC 300. That makes a lot of sense. If it does, I’ll have more time to prepare. I’ve never prepared so much for a fight with one particular opponent in my life.”

Before the fight can be officially announced, Conor McGregor needs to return to the American Anti-Doping Agency testing pool, which he left after suffering a broken leg in a fight with Dustin Puryear two years ago.

That said, UFC CEO, Dana White, in a recent interview promised to organize a fight for the former Bellator champion if he gets tired of waiting for the Irishman.
