“He can analyze our fight as much as he wants and be brave,” Vera said in an interview with Michael Bisping. “No matter what they say, I know that deep down he is a real weakling, and I’m going to show it. I will press him, and no matter how the fight develops, I will fight like my life depends on it. I will show the best that I can – I guarantee you that”
“This guy is good at the clinch and even if I fought every day for the next five years, I probably wouldn’t have reached his level like anyone else in the division. But this is MMA and the levels become roughly even when you start punching people in the face. He can transfer me, he can enter the clinch, but he still has to fight me. Being able to hit makes us more equal at this level.”
Recall that the fight in the bantamweight division between Henry Cejudo and Marlon Vera will be part of the UFC 292 tournament, which will be held August 19 in Boston.
