Maga Ismailov promised to roll up Islam Makhachev

Popular Russian fighter Magomed Ismailov assessed his own chances in a wrestling match against current UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.

“I think I’ll roll him up, that’s if objectively,” “The Bald Predator” said in an interview with Ushataika channel. “And if in a brotherly way – yes, it would be interesting, of course, he is a good fighter, we would have a good push with him”

“Or do you want to disagree that I would roll him? Of course Islam is very good. I think come the day, we’ll push, we’ll move, we’ll spend time on the mat. I think he’s even better than we can imagine. MMA is one thing, but when you get into the wrestling ring, you’re a little bit different”

Ten days ago, Islam Makhachev made the second successful defense of his title, knocking out Australian Alexander Volkanovski, who holds the UFC featherweight championship belt, in the first round.

The 32-year-old Russian lightweight is currently ranked as the second best UFC fighter regardless of weight class.
