According to the Briton, he expects to take advantage of his opponent’s mistake and get an early victory over the American no later than the third round.
“I see him starting fast like he always does,” Edwards said on another edition of The MMA Hour program. “I think I’ll stop him in the second or third round. By knocking him out or finishing him with a sub-match.”
“I feel like he’s too sloppy in the way he fights. He’s too sloppy for someone like me. I’m a lot better than him, and I truly believe that. I know he’s just going to go forward, but fighting is more than that, and I’m going to show him that.”
As a reminder, the welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington will be the main event of UFC 296, which takes place on Dec. 16 in Las Vegas.
