Leon Edwards and Colby Covington headline UFC 291 in London

A welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington will be the main event of UFC 291 on July 22 in London.

The organization of the match, citing informed sources close to the situation, was reported by Sports Illustrated.

Two weeks ago at UFC 286 in London, Leon Edwards successfully defended the UFC Welterweight Championship with a five round majority win over former division champion Kamaru Usman. In August last year, the Briton made one of the loudest upsets in the history of mixed martial arts, 56 seconds before the end of the fifth round, knocking out the Nigerian with a kick to the head and taking away his title.

Colby Covington, who secured the title rematch between Edwards and Usman, fought his last fight in March last year, defeating Jorge Masvidal by unanimous decision in five rounds.
