Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad will headline the UFC 304 event

A welterweight title fight between the division’s reigning champion, Leon Edwards, and the number two ranked fighter, Belal Muhammad, will headline UFC 304, which takes place July 27 in Manchester.

The organization of the fight was officially announced by the head of the world’s strongest league, Dana White, thus confirming the information announced two days ago by UFC commentator John Enik.

The fight between Edwards and Muhammad will be a rematch – in March 2021, the fight between welterweights was recognized as a failure after in the second round of the British poked his opponent in the eye, and the American could not continue the meeting.

Leon Edwards, 32, successfully defended his championship belt in December, defeating Colby Covington by unanimous decision at UFC 296 in Las Vegas.

Belal Muhammad, 35, earned his fifth straight victory last May, winning a unanimous decision over Gilbert Burns.
