The first heavyweight meeting took place in May 2016 – the 12-round fight went the whole distance and ended in favor of the Bulgarian by a split decision of the judges.

Lately, things have not been going well for Chisora. He has three defeats in a row on points – from Usyk and twice from Parker. Derek hasn’t won since October 2019 when he stopped (TKO 4) David Price.

Pulev, having suffered an early failure (TKO 9) in the title fight against Anthony Joshua at the end of 2020, has since had only one official fight, a little less than a month ago without any visible problems knocking on the points of Jerry Forrest. At the same time, in November last year, he knocked out former UFC champion Frank Mir, but this event did not go into a professional record.

Kownacki has previously turned down a fight with Chisora.
