Polish slugger heavyweight (over 90.7 kg) Adam Kownacki (20-2, 15 KOs) refused to fight with his style colleague British veteran Derek Chisora (32-11, 23 KOs), according to promoter Eddie Hearn (Matchroom Boxing).
According to him, “Kownacki has not signed a contract and is unlikely to sign one already.” Hearn says that Chisora will still return to the ring on July 23, and “he will have an even tougher fighter against his rivals.” At the same time, Hearn does not name names.
AT Matchroom Boxing offered the Polish bellies a seven-figure fee, but supposedly there was an equally cool offer from Premier Boxing Champions Al Haymon.
After the ex-WBC champion American Deontay Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs) announced the resumption of his career, it is he who is considered the most likely opponent of Kownacki – such a fight can be sold at exorbitant prices to the arena Barclays Center in New York (USA), where both often performed earlier.
