The assumption that the Russians “greased” where it is necessary that they and the Belarusian boxers be returned to the World Boxing Association rating was supported by the former heavyweight dominator Wladimir Klitschko. From 2011 to 2015, the Ukrainian also held the WBA title.

“Boxing needs more transparency, not greed,” the legendary fighter said in an address on social media.

According to Klitschko, cooperation between WBA and IBA (The International Boxing Association, led by Russian Umar Klemlev, who supports Russia’s aggression against Ukraine – ed.) – “this is a stain on the coat of noble art.”

“The decision to reinstate Russian and Belarusian boxers is an indelible moral offense. It is no coincidence that the IOC is pushing for the exclusion of boxing from the 2028 Olympics. Boxing needs one big purge, ”summed up Vladimir against a snowy background.

“I dedicate the victory to the Ukrainians and Zaluzhny” – Berinchyk

The WBA, as, in general, expected, said that Russian boxers, therefore, “are not responsible for the war in Ukraine.”

Firstly, an educational program for unprincipled businessmen: Russia’s war against Ukraine, and not the Russian narrative of “war in Ukraine.” Secondly, the war is waged by the state of Russia, and the boxers are citizens of this state. Thirdly, the WBA turned a blind eye to the fact that almost all the most famous Russian boxers (who have already completed their careers and they don’t care) unanimously supported the occupation of Ukraine and do not see anything terrible in acts of genocide.

But this is the WBA, which has several different champions per weight category, because there is never enough money.

At the end of September, the IBA showed its true colors: the Ukrainian national team was stripped of the flag, Usyk stood up for the boxers. Vladimir then also reacted to the decision of the organization.
