British Olympic medalist and former welterweight leader Amir Khan named the favorite in a potential fight for the title of absolute welterweight champion between Americans Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) and Terence Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs).
Khan
puts on Crawford, to whom in 2019 he lost by refusing to continue the fight in the 6th round: “I think that Terence will win by decision of the judges. No, I don’t believe in an early victory, because Spence is a very cool and dexterous fighter. Crawford… He forces his fight so easily. In a fight with him, I constantly kneaded the air, and he continually punished me for mistakes. His punches were very accurate and his timing was great. Terence is one of the best fighters I have ever seen. He reminds me a little of Andre Ward.”
In December, Crawford held an interim defense of the WBO belt – he beautifully knocked out the Russian David Avanesyan. Do you think top contender Ennis is really stylistically similar to Crawford? His father named the best current fighter in the division.
