Khamzat Chimaev responded to the challenge of Kamaru Usman

UFC welterweight number three, Khamzat Chimaev, did not disregard the statement of former division champion Kamaru Usman, who announced his desire to fight him.

“We need to send someone to retire,” the Chechen fighter wrote on a social network, completing the phrase with an emoji handshake.

Earlier, the Nigerian Nightmare, ranked first in the division, in an interview with ESPN said that his fight with the Borz should have contender status.

Recall that Kamaru Usman is on a series of two defeats, which he suffered in title fights with Leon Edwards, first losing to the Briton by knockout in the fifth round, and then losing to him by a majority of the judges’ votes.

Undefeated Khamzat Chimaev won his sixth UFC win last September, finishing with a first-round choke over Kevin Holland. Chimaev planned to hold his next fight in the middleweight division against former UFC title contender Paulo Costa.
