Khamzat Chimaev refused to communicate with the absolute world boxing champion

Popular Chechen fighter Khamzat Chimayev explained why he refused to communicate with the absolute lightweight boxing champion of the world, American Devin Haynie.

“Yes, we were communicating with Haney, but I unsubscribed from him,” “Borz” said in a conversation with Nurlan Saburov. “He’s arrogant too much. Said, ‘It’s unforgivable for me to lose to a white kid.’ That was racist.”

“If I say I won’t lose to a black guy, the whole world will say that Hamzat doesn’t like black people. Black or white, what’s the difference? We are all the same. When a black man says such a thing, it’s no big deal, but if I say it, the whole world will talk about it. And I have both black and white friends – it makes no difference to me”

In May of this year, 24-year-old Devin Haynie, who knows no defeats, successfully defended his titles, winning a unanimous decision 116-112 and 115-113 twice against Vasyl Lomachenko, however, many fans and experts considered the defeat of the Ukrainian boxer extremely controversial, which was confirmed by the official statistics of the match.

Khamzat Chimaev, 29, is riding a six-fight win streak in the UFC and is currently preparing for his bout with Brazilian Paulo Costa, which will take place on October 21 at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi.
