Khamzat Chimaev made a statement about the next fight

The third number of the UFC welterweight division, Khamzat Chimaev, will not return to the octagon in the next three months.

The Chechen fighter informed his fans about this on a social network.

“We will be back after Ramadan,” Borz wrote.

This year, the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims will last from March 23 to April 21, and given the time required for preparation, it can be assumed that Chimaev will hold his next fight no earlier than June.

In a recent interview, Khamzat Chimaev announced that he refused to fight Robert Whittaker in Australia, but did not rule out that the Australian middleweight would still be his next opponent.

Khamzat Chimaev, 28, won his sixth consecutive win under the UFC banner last September, finishing with a first-round choke on Kevin Holland.
