Khamzat Chimaev gave an answer about participation in the UFC 300 tournament

The UFC’s No. 9 ranked middleweight, Hamzat Chimaev, commented on the information that his fight against current UFC welterweight champion, Leon Edwards, could headline the UFC 300 tournament, which takes place April 13 in Las Vegas.

“I’ll fight anybody – Leon Edwards, Dricus Du Plessis, anybody but Ramadan,” “Borz” told MMA Uncensored. “I think Ramadan falls on UFC 300. Maybe I’ll fight someone in Saudi Arabia. I want to fight there. But I’ll never fight in Ramadan again.”

The day before, prominent sports columnist Ariel Helwani reported that a title fight between Edwards and Chimayev would headline the anniversary event if the Chechen fighter manages to get an American visa in the near future.

As for the UFC’s debut event in Saudi Arabia, it has been moved from March to June and does not yet have a set date.

As a reminder, the last time Khamzat Chimaev stepped into the octagon was last October at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi, defeating Kamara Usman by majority judge vote in the middleweight division.
