Khamzat Chimaev appealed to the UFC

The popular Chechen fighter Khamzat Chimaev announced his readiness to return to the octagon earlier than planned.

According to Borz, he is ready to fight next September 2 at UFC Fight Night 227 in Paris, and then take part in UFC 294, which will take place on October 21 in Abu Dhabi.

“I’m ready to fight in Paris, and after that in Abu Dhabi – let me smash someone already, UFC,” Chimaev wrote on the social network.

A week earlier, UFC president Dana White denied reports that the Chechen’s next opponent would be former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, saying the organization had other plans for Chimaev.

The day before, American Jared Cannonier announced his readiness to share the octagon with Khamzat Chimaev, naming his candidate status as the only condition for organizing the fight.

Recall that at the moment, Borz continues to occupy the fourth line in the UFC welterweight rating, but plans to hold its next fight in the middleweight category.
