“There’s nothing wrong with giving credit to a champion, and it doesn’t matter whether you like him or not,” the undefeated Russian wrote on social media. “But this is not given to everyone – it requires brains, and preferably not made of straw.”
“I’ve taken a doping test 49 times in five years. Islam is about to have 50 tests. Somebody tell Bobby – what Islam did to him was pure technique, built up over years. And tell him I have about 300 amateur fights in various sports. Islam has been competing in amateur (striking) sports since he was 9 years old and has tons of experience. I’m not talking about experience in the pros”
“You give them no peace, Islam,” Nurmagomedov concluded.
Earlier, Green said that Nurmagomedov and Makhachev visit the mosque not only for prayer, but also to use doping with impunity and hide from representatives of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. According to the American’s version, for the same reason, the rematch between Makhachev and Oliveira will again take place in Abu Dhabi, where the Russian “does whatever he wants for months” without USADA supervision.
Note that this is not the first time Green has made such revelations – last December he said that doping was on the rise in Russia and that Makhachev, who finished him by technical knockout in the first round, had been on steroids since he was ten years old.
Bobby Green will headline this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 229 event in Las Vegas, and the American’s opponent will be his compatriot Grant Dawson.
