Russian fighter will work with Luke Rockhold
32-year-old Russian ex-MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov (29-0), who ended his career as a fighter, may soon become a coach.
Khabib will work with former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold (16-5).
“Khabib has decided to take on the role of coach. He wants to play an important role in my return.
He wants to be coach of the year and be the next great coach, following in his father’s footsteps. This is what his father always did, he was always shrewd and well versed in sports. I think Khabib is ready to take on this role,” said Rockhold.
Note that Rockhold lost in three of the last four fights. The last time the 36-year-old fighter entered the octagon was in July 2019, when he was knocked out by Jan Blachowicz.
