Russian MMA fighter is not going to return to the octagon
32-year-old Russian ex-MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov (29-0, 8 KOs) confirmed his decision to end his career as a fighter after meeting with UFC President Dana White.
“It was a good dinner with wonderful people.
Dana White, thank you so much my brother and the entire UFC team for giving me the opportunity to shine, you guys have changed so many lives forever with this sport.
Dana, I will never forget your attitude towards me, my father has not forgotten, and my sons will remember you.
Today was a real conversation between real men.
Thanks also to the whole team, sparring partners and all the fans.
I hope you will accept my decision and understand me, ”Khabib wrote.
Khabib had his last fight on October 24, 2020 against American Justin Gaethje. Khabib defeated Gaethje by submission in the second round, after which he announced his retirement.
