Kevin Lee: “In seven years in the UFC, I made a million. I plan to earn the same amount in one next year.”

Former UFC interim lightweight contender Kevin Lee, after being fired from the promotion, announced plans to become a millionaire next year.

“We all fight in this cage for respect,” Lee said on The MMA Hour. “Respect is the most important thing. And they showed me disrespect. Now my job will be to prove to them that they have made one of the biggest mistakes of their lives. Within the next year I will be a millionaire. For 7 years in the UFC, I approximately flew somewhere up to a million in terms of money. That is a million in total for all these years. And now I plan to make a million in a year.

Lee spent seven years in the UFC, gaining 11 victories and seven losses during this time. By October 2017, the 24-year-old American had a record of 9-2 in the promotion, but then he lost five out of seven fights.

Lee last fought in August of this year, losing by unanimous decision to Daniel Rodriguez. On December 1, the fighter was fired from the UFC.
