Kazan announced its desire to host the World Judo Championship in 2024

The Minister of Sports of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov announced Kazan’s desire to host the World Judo Championship in 2024.

“We have expressed our desire to apply to host the World Judo Championships in 2024. This is the title sport for our country. The World Championship is a landmark event and an authoritative tournament. We will conduct it at the highest level if we are entrusted with the right to organize it, ”TASS quotes Leonov as saying.

The last time Russia hosted the World Judo Championship was in August 2014, when the competition was held in Chelyabinsk.
