President of AMC Fight Nights Kamil Gadzhiev expressed his desire to arrange an MMA tournament between Shaolin monks and monks from the Zhadovsky monastery in the Ulyanovsk region.
A close friend of Gadzhiev, the reigning AMC Fight Nights middleweight champion Vladimir Mineev, said that the Zhadovsky Monastery is one of the training centers for mixed-style fighters in the Ulyanovsk region.
“We have taken an even larger number of tournaments that we will hold in the region, and we have divided most of them in remote corners of the Ulyanovsk region. Loading peripherals. It often happens that everything is based on personalities – there is a wrestling coach, so the whole village is engaged in wrestling. But we have an example of the Zhadovsky Monastery, where children traditionally practice mixed martial arts. Hajiyev intervened in the discussion, stating the following:
“As for the Zhadovsky Monastery, apart from jokes, I think we will soon hold a tournament. I want to arrange a match – something between MMA and kickboxing – Shaolin monks against monks from the Zhadovsky monastery, ”said Gadzhiev.
Mineev agreed, saying that the monks were already preparing.
“Our guys are getting ready. These are black monks, they are in no way inferior to Shaolin ones, ”Mineev reacted.
On December 10-11, the Star Sports Sports Complex in Saratov hosted an MMA tournament among men in memory of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. The event was broadcast on the MMA.RF platform.
