Kamaru Usman challenged Khamzat Chimaev

Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has made it clear that he wants a rematch with Hamzat Chimaev, to whom he lost by majority judge vote two months ago within the middleweight division.

“Shall we do it again?” the Nigerian wrote on social media, posting a corresponding photo.

Hamzat Chimaev was scheduled to fight Paulo Costa at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi on Oct. 21, but the Brazilian pulled out of the event due to a staph infection, while Kamaru Usman agreed on two weeks notice to step in as a replacement and fight at middleweight.

Borz was then scheduled to challenge current UFC middleweight champion, Sean Strickland, but due to a hand injury suffered in the fight, lost his title shot to South African Dricus Du Plessis, who will face the American on January 20 at UFC 297 in Toronto.
