Justin Gaethje explained why he doesn’t fight in fights

Former BMF titleholder, Justin Gaethje, who is a basic fighter with a big amateur background, explained why he doesn’t use those skills in fights.

According to the American, he would never have reached the level of fees he currently receives if he had given up the spectacular stand-up fighting.

“It’s my job, I do it for the money,” American told TitleSportsNet. “If I was banking on my fight, they would never pay me as much as they’re paying me now.”

“I’ve had some tremendous fights, largely because of the way I’ve fought, so I don’t regret anything.”

The UFC’s No. 3 ranked lightweight, Justin Gaethje, had his last fight on April 13 at the UFC 300 anniversary event in Las Vegas, losing by knockout to Max Holloway at the last second of the fifth round and losing his BMF belt.

Prior to that, “Highlight” defeated Rafael Fisieff by majority judge vote and knocked out Dustin Porier in the second round.
