Joyce’s manager: “Joe will give both Joshua and Usyk a kick. Fury’s chances?”

Manager Sam Jones commented on the performance of his top client – British heavyweight Joe Joyce (15-0, 14 KOs) inflicted a debut early defeat on the weekend against New Zealand ex-world champion Joseph Parker (30-3, 21 KOs), for which he received the interim champion belt from WBO.

Usyk be afraid – a report about this fight

By
opinion Jones, “Joyce will beat both Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk. Chance with Tyson Fury? He will give him the fight of his life. After all, I saw Joe not only in fights, but also in sparring, where he crushed opponents in 20-ounce gloves. He even hurt people in them. From the 6th round he turned on terminator mode. That’s what the fans are talking about when they joke about his “granite jaw”. And he just has an elite jab. What about his motor? He is by far the best in heavyweight. Talking about him being a bad boxer is nonsense. He took the silver OI-2016. And, to tell the truth, he was robbed in the final.

Jones does not believe that Joyce will ever meet in the ring with the holder of the WBA Super, IBF and WBO belts, Usyk: “Alexander honestly admitted that he does not plan to fight Joe. He wants a fight for the absolute, a fight with Canelo Alvarez to raise money and a farewell fight in Ukraine. So he himself said. Joyce is not in his plans. What? Usyk beat Joyce in WSB? When it was? And now we’re talking about a 12-round fight with 10-ounce gloves. I’m telling you, he would have beaten him for sure.”

The manager suggests that Parker still made a mistake in preparing for the fight: “I think Joyce’s body work is very underestimated. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out he broke Joseph’s ribs. But you have to give Parker his due – he’s a tough guy. But everything became clear to me from the 6th round. Believe it or not, I even felt sorry for Joseph. I’m surprised he wasn’t removed from the fight sooner. He was simply beaten. How many rounds did he take? I counted 2. I think he was too heavy in the ring. I didn’t like their battle plan. They seemed to be bluffing. Yes, sometimes you need to cut yourself in the middle of the ring. But Parker has other trump cards – speed and maneuverability.

In the meantime, Joyce was asked who would he prefer to fight next – Fury or Usyk? Joe made a choice. We saw a beautiful shot: Joyce and Parker after the fight. By the way, Fury himself believes that Joe will beat both Joshua and Usyk.
